When we first set up Buffalo Bolt Co shop here there was a neat galvanised mesh steel fence here. Mesh panels have been removed and now the concreted in posts must go. As we had no winch we used the Diahatsu in 4x4 low range. Perfect. Craig drives with Chad assisting.
Buffalo Bolt Company crew led by captain Craig at left with brother Paul. Kimba dog up top. Arrow shows the filtered suction pipe for the high pressure fire pump used to cool down the opposition. On the boat ramp at Faitbairn Dam. The tow 4x4 is the Buffalo Diahatsu F-55 LWB diesel.
Author was a member of Emerald Lions Club at the time. Lions staged a huge Damtastic event biannually at Fairbairn Dam raising money for local charities. We made up a raft from drums our chain came in so our guys could have some fun (maybe even win a carton of beer) in the raft race. As we sold engine powered pumps also, we fitted a 2" high pressure and a 3" high volume pump to the raft with flexible hoses to hose down any opposition rafts. A lot of work for a lot of fun. Guys were grinners but not winners of the race. Author got great videos of the fun action which will be posted here at a later date. Our crew had lots of local produced (past date) tomatoes to use as projectiles. Scored a few direct hits. Great fun day.
Our mighty Diahatsu 2.4Ltr diesel 4x4 (real 4x4 with FWH and solid axles front & rear) crossing Nagoa River just downstream of the old weir at Emerald, Qld. Thanks desk jockeys, all this is fenced off.
Was: FBed30060428.jpg.. Gifts for the 'troops' who ran our business while we were down in Brisbane (the big city for us hay seeds). We only ever got them items that they would be unlikely to be using two weeks after we gave them to the guys. One guy had his weapon hidden for staging war shoot 'em ups in the lounge room, diving over chairs etc. Hands up who that was. We know
Scott about to trade hisToyota Celica yellow wheels on a later model and would have to be faster, red machine. Note the mighty Diahatsu F-55 diesel 4x4 working rig in the background.
