Oh what a pain. Makita gen set has not been started in five or more years and un-leaded gasoline does not store well. I had to remove the empty fuel tan, toss in a handfull of zinc plated metal threads and shake it madly for 15 minutes in every position including inverted (it,not me) to dislodge the flaking gunk on the insides of the tank. Un-beleivable the rusty looking dust and grit that came out. Blew out all the fuel lines, tap and filter. Re-connected and it started first time but the 'O' ring in the top of the fuel town is cactus so have a new one on order. I believe engine is by Poulan in USA.
